What Does Neuropathy Supplements Research Actually Show?
Neuropathy supplements research is thin. NCCIH says most supplements show no evidence of benefit for diabetes or its complications, and alpha-lipoic acid studies split 3 to 5 across 8 trials (NCCIH, Diabetes and Dietary Supplements). For Nervecept's eight lines, the studies we found are mostly about knees, and none tests the capsule.

What research exists on supplements for neuropathy?
Little research exists, and most of it is mixed. The best-known case is alpha-lipoic acid, which is not in Nervecept.
A 2022 review of 8 studies found 3 reporting symptom improvement and 5 not (NCCIH, Diabetes and Dietary Supplements). For most other supplements, NCCIH found no evidence of benefit for diabetes complications.
Causes are better studied. Low vitamin B12 can bring numbness and tingling, with or without anemia, and a blood test can find it (NIH ODS, Vitamin B12).
What do studies say about Nervecept's ingredients?
The studies that exist test these ingredients for knee osteoarthritis, not for nerves.
| Ingredient (per capsule) | What the research is about | Strength |
|---|---|---|
| Glucosamine sulfate, 500 mg | Knee osteoarthritis | Mixed (NCCIH, Glucosamine and Chondroitin) (MSK, Glucosamine) |
| Indian frankincense, 67 mg | Osteoarthritis | Small, low quality (NCCIH, Boswellia) |
| Turmeric, 50 mg | Knee osteoarthritis | Early, positive; rare liver injury (NCCIH, Turmeric) |
| Quercetin, 8 mg | A 7-day safety trial of 9 people | Not for nerves (Han et al. 2020, Quercetin Safety Trial) |
| Chondroitin, methionine, MSM, bromelain | No verified dose source found | Not established for nerves |
Where are the gaps between the label and the studies?
The biggest gap is the amount. The capsule holds far less of some lines than the studies used.
Frankincense extract was used safely at up to 1,000 mg a day in trials of up to 6 months. The capsule holds 67 mg. Quercetin was tested at 500 to 2,000 mg a day. The capsule holds 8 mg. The bars below show the gap (NCCIH, Boswellia) (Han et al. 2020, Quercetin Safety Trial).
A second gap is the people. The quercetin trial studied people with COPD, not neuropathy. A third is Nervecept itself: no source tests the finished capsule. See the claims versus evidence page for the sales-page wording.

They should make you cautious and curious, not hopeful. Talk to a doctor or pharmacist, and keep taking prescribed medicine.
If you still want to try it, the 3-bottle pack is $207 (about $2.30 a day) and the 6-bottle pack is $294 (about $1.63 a day). Both ship free in the US, and a 60-day money-back guarantee applies; confirm at checkout (Nervecept sales page). New numbness needs a medical check, not a capsule.

FAQ01
Nervecept questions people ask
Is there clinical research on Nervecept?
No. We found no study of Nervecept itself, and the sales page's "clinically proven" wording has no trial behind it that we could find. The research on its ingredients is mostly about knee osteoarthritis.
Which supplement has the most research for diabetic nerve pain?
NCCIH discusses alpha-lipoic acid. A 2022 review of 8 studies was inconsistent, with 3 reporting improvement and 5 not. It is not an ingredient in Nervecept. Ask your doctor before trying any supplement.
Why do supplement studies use higher doses than the label?
Studies test amounts that researchers chose, not amounts a company packs in a capsule. Frankincense trials used up to 1,000 mg a day of extract, while the Nervecept capsule lists 67 mg. Always compare the label amount with the studied amount.
